US$83.5M BUSINESS PROPOSAL

I am Dr. Philip Ezoma the Contract Award Committee Chairman in the Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation (NNPC). It is my pleasure to make this mutually benefiting business proposal to you.
Early last year there was a major oil spillage in the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria which rendered over 70% of the communities homeless. So the federal government decided to lease the three existing petroleum refineries to private individuals and companies to make the refineries more viable, resourceful and to eliminate undue wastage and fraud. So contracts were awarded to a foreign firm for the repair and construction of new refineries, but because of the huge monetary profit we envisaged we decided to over-invoice the contract sum. Now the contract has been completed and the original contractor has since been paid, but the contract balance of US$83.5 million, which resulted from the over invoiced contract sum is been left in a suspense account with the CENTRAL BANK corresponding paying bank in Europe.
I have been assigned by my other colleagues to seek for assistance of a reliable foreigner through whom we can transfer this sum of US$83.5 million which arose from the deliberate over-inflated contract value. It does not matter whether you or your company does contract project of the nature described here, the assumption is that you won a major contract and subcontracted it to another company, more often non big trading companies or individuals of unrelated field win major contracts here and subcontracts same to more specialized firms for execution. So the nature of your business is not particularly relevant for the success of this transaction. All we require is your willingness as a foreigner to co-operate with us and assurance that our own share will be given to us when this money is transferred into your account. Then we shall use out position to secure all the government approvals in your favor to enable to transfer to your nominated bank account.
We have agreed that you will be entitled to 25% of the entire funds, 70% will be for us, while 5% will be set aside to cover any unforeseen expenses that may be incurred by both parties during this transaction, both local and international.
Please I enjoin you to handle this transaction with utmost degree of maturity and confidentiality because I am still in active government service with the "NIGERIAN NATIONAL PETROLEUM CORPORATION". All necessary precautions have been taken to ensure a no risk situation on the sides of both parties and it is believed that the conclusion of this transaction will not last more than 8 working days, since the money is already in transit account with the corresponding paying bank in Europe. However, we are going to retrieve the whole documents that will relate to this transaction after the transfer of the money into your account to avoid any trace of the money.
We are looking forward to doing this business with you and solicit absolute confidentiality from you in this transaction. Please reply with your full contact coordinates (Phone/fax etc, plus address) to enable me contact you for a verbal discussion and also treat this transaction as confidential matter.

A philosophy professor stood before his class with some items on the table in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks, about 2 inches in diameter.

He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He then asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous “Yes.”

“Now,” said the professor, “I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The rocks are the important things – your family, your partner, your health, your children – things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter – like your job, your house, your car. The sand is everything else. The small stuff.” “If you put the sand into the jar first,” he continued “there is no room for the pebbles or the rocks. The same goes for your life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take your partner out dancing. There will always be time to go to work, clean the house, give a dinner party and fix the disposal.

Take care of the rocks first – the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.”

The midfielder has had a difficult time in Spain, failing to impress the Santiago Bernabeu faithful since arriving at the club from AC Milan in a £58million move - having rejected City's advances at the time because he felt has was not suited to the English game.

Injuries have hampered the playmaker and it appears Real boss Jose Mourinho has finally lost patience and is preparing to offload the star in the summer.

The rumours have already sparked furious speculation over where Kaka could be headed.

And sources close to the player's camp suggest the Brazilian is more open to the prospect of moving to England than he was previously.

Kaka was linked with a £110million move to Eastlands in the past but he opted for Spain in order to play in the Champions League.

But Manchester City are currently in the Champions League places this year and Kaka could be considered an important addition to the squad if they do qualify for next season's competition.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has been a fan of the 29-year-old for a number of years and many believe Kaka will be keen to link up with Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti who he played under in Milan.

If Abramovich does decide to bid for Kaka it will once again show his commitment to the London club, which some experts had doubted until he splashed out in January - smashing the British transfer record with the £50million purchase of Fernando Torres.

Tides

I see the pain when the tide flows
I burn with love even when life is fair

do I turn into a dark vast hole
when with your very name my spirit re-glows.....

I am a strong man with a lonely heart
I always walk along with trodden path

Strength I have, Strength I try to hide
I want to escape but always see my tide.

I wrote this poem during a rough period in my life; when the times for me were low. My sincerity to my work and output results capacity was being questioned every bit.

The moments I had captured through my work, the time I spent with my fellow factory personnel, the meetings that I had to attend, and the hopes that I carried with me through my journey at a point in my life; all of this and more seemed to vanish away from me just like that.

I was heart-rendered and in a complex whirlwind of emotions/thoughts.

God has his own funny ways of encouraging you. He can bless and smile upon you anyhow/anywhere.

This is how GOD appeared before me and helped me…..

“I was sitting in a room in my house on one of the normal nights and the idea to write “Tides " struck me. The words for this poem which are close to my heart started to flow effortlessly.

After writing the last line, I was stuck/cold. I just could not get myself to write any further. I took more time than usual to think whether “Tides" needed more work on it.

Did I need to tweak around it a little bit more? Had I done it right and justice by finishing up so abruptly?

I just left everything on the table and got up and started to walk around. I started to ponder once again on the wrong that had just happened in my life. I shifted my attention to "Tides" and thought to myself….. Why did I even write this?

The lesson that I learned and felt that night:

One has to express their feelings in someway or the other.
Everyone needs a mental holiday.
Expressing yourself can be accomplished through various methods.
I wrote this because I full of thoughts/emotions and felt weak and in turn "Tides" taught me to be strong and keep going on.
“Tides" inspires me to give my best.
It also told me to thank all the people who have been any sort of positive influence in my life.
Always remember the good souls you've come across in your life through your prayers.

I would really like to know how you feel about this this. If you would like to share an incident such as this or any other in your life which dawned upon you and told you to keep going on and on…. ? How did you react/feel about it? And what you did you see when you looked back?

Really Touching....

While a man was washing his new car, his 4 year old son picked stone & scratched lines on the side of the car. In anger, the man took the child's hand & hit it many times, not realizing he was using a wrench.

At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures. When the child saw his father.... with painful eyes he asked 'Dad when will my fingers grow back?'

Man was so hurt and speechless. He went back to car and kicked it a lot of times.

Devastated by his actions..... Sitting in front of that car he looked at the scratches, child had written 'LOVE YOU DAD'.

The next day that man committed suicide. . .

Anger and Love have no limits; choose the later to have a beautiful & lovely life....

fathers who are searching for their missing children, the

watching their children suffer senselessly and screaming

inside that little body

And when I kiss you goodnight I will hold

The Bird Story......

Look at the “Birds” below….

Here, a Bird’s wife is injured and her condition is serious. She is waiting for her husband to arrive.

He brings her food and tends to her with love and compassion

A sudden change… He is shocked by her death and tries to move her

He is aware that his sweetheart is dead. She will not come back to him again and starts crying.

He stands beside her and cries out, saddened by her death

Finally aware that she would not return to him, he quietly stands beside her dead body filled with sorrow

Love and death are like “two uninvited guests”. When they arrive? Nobody can know.

But both perform the same work; one takes your heart and the other its’ beats….

A further Note:

Photos of these two birds were captured in the Republic of Ukraine. Millions of people in America and Europe broke into tears after seeing these pictures.

It is also said that the photographer sold these pictures for a nominal price to the most famous newspaper in France.

All the copies were sold out on the day of publishing these pictures.

We have our own perceptions of the word "Tiger". We believe it or not , it certainly does have an emotional value for us. When I first saw this "awareness" campaign, I was taken aback and didn't know what to do. I was confused.... I thought for a second why save these beasts.... " they are all man-eaters"....

But then my whole soul, cried out loud, to help these tigers....We must completely forget that they are just animals, why care about them?

Well, you never know the value of LIFE... till we have it.. .but once its GONE.. We miss it forever.....

It matters to US.. It matters to the Wildlife.. It just... seriously MATTERS...

It was a sports stadium.

Eight children were standing on the track to participate in the running event.

* Ready! * Steady! * Bang!!!

With the sound of the Toy pistol, all eight girls started running.

Hardly did they cover ten to fifteen steps, one of the smaller girls slipped and fell down. She was bruised and crying with pain.

When the other seven girls heard this sound; they stopped running, stood for a while and turned back. They all ran back to the place where the ' smaller girl' fell down.

One among them bent, picked and kissed the girl gently and inquired 'Now pain must have reduced? '.

All seven girls lifted the fallen girl, pacified her. Two of them held the girl firmly and then all seven joined hands together and walked together and reached the winning post.

Officials were shocked. Adulation from thousands of spectators filled the stadium.

Many eyes were filled with tears and perhaps it had reached GOD even.

YES. This happened in Hyderabad [ INDIA ], recently!

The sport was conducted by National Institute of Mental Health.

All these special girls had come to participate in this event and they all are " Mentally Challenged"

What did they teach this world?

Teamwork?

Humanity?

Equality among all?????
